Youth Art and STEAM Class 
Young artists will have the opportunity to explore various artistic elements by using different forms of art and science including drawing, painting, sculpture, engineering and more. They will learn to discover and understand the world around them through open-ended art and science projects.

Classes are suitable for ALL skill levels! 
 
AGES: 5-12
WHEN: Saturdays, 11am - 12pm 
COST: Members: $50 / Non-Members: $80 / After school participant: $30

STEAM at the Peter Blum Family YMCA  


Young Engineers STEM Enrichment Program 
The Young Engineers' program helps improve fine motor skills, visual-spatial skills, creative thinking, social skills, and so much more! Children ages 4-13 can participate in a unique award-winning program that is aimed at inspiring young minds and nurturing a spirit of innovation. 

Big Builders (4-6 year-olds) 
Engineers will use large size K`Nex "bricks" to construct movable machines, models of living creatures and structures emphasizing geometric shapes. 
WHEN: Fridays 3 pm - 3:45 pm or
Saturdays 10am - 10:45am
8 weekly classes, 45-minute sessions
COST: $150 Y members/ $200 Non-members
*Each child receives a building kit at the start of each session. 


Bricks Challenge (7-13 years old) 
Engineers will use brand new Lego product, ALGOBRIX, that teaches them intuitive hands-on coding. 
WHEN: Fridays 4 pm - 5 pm or
Saturdays 11am - 12pm
8 weekly classes, 60-minute session
COST: $200 Y member/ $250 Non-member

Students will learn to code in 3 simple steps:

  1. Build a LEGO model

  2. Build a line of code

  3. Press the play button
